Intensive Driving Courses Weston-super-Mare, Exeter and Exmouth
An intensive driving course concentrates your training into a short focused period rather than spreading it across months of weekly lessons. Done properly. It works. Done badly- booked on a guess, with no idea how many hours you actually need – it costs you a test fee and your confidence.
We do it properly. Every mint2pink Intensive Course begins with an honest assessment of where you are now, and a plan built from that. Not from a package we’d like to sell you.
The rules changed. Your options just got better
Driving schools no longer book or manage practical test slots on behalf of their students.
It sounds like a small administrative change. The knock-on effect is significant. Without the ability to match a student to the right test date, more and more learners are booking slots that arrive before they’re ready – going in unprepared and walking out without a pass.
The test dates are there, often sooner than expected and the temptation to take one is real. We’re not here to tell you not to. We’re here to make sure you’re genuinely ready when you do.
That’s what an intensive course is for: closing the gap between the date you’ve got and the standard you need.
How it works
1 Your assessment
One hour, in the car, on real roads. We establish your current standard honestly – what’s solid, what isn’t and what’s missing.
2. Your plan
We tell you how many hours you’re realistically likely to need and how best to structure them around your test date, our work and your commitments.
3. Your course
Intensive or semi-intensive, shaped to the plan. Delivered by a fully qualified DVSA approved instructor with over 25 years experience.
4. Your test
You arrive prepared, not hopeful.
Intensive or semi-intensive?
Intensive – training concentrated into consecutive days or a single block. Best if you have a test date approaching, time available, and a solid foundation to build on.
Semi-intensive – a heavier-than-weekly schedule spread over a few weeks. Best if you’re building from a lower base, if long days behind the wheel don’t suit how you learn, or if work and study won’t release you for a full block.
Most people assume they want the first and are better served by the second. The assessment is how we find out which is true for you.
An Intensive isn’t right for everyone
Well say so if it isn’t right for you.
If you’re a genuine beginner with no test date and no deadline, a structured weekly programme will almost always serve you better and cost you less. If your nerves are the obstacle rather than you skill, cramming won’t fix it – and we have better tools for that.
Our aim isn’t to sell you an intensive course. It’s to help you find the training that’s genuinely right for you. Honest professional advice you can actually use is worth more to both of us than a booking that shouldn’t have happened.
